What is in Matthew Fitzpatrick's Bag?
Matthew Fitzpatrick has many sponsors including Rolex, Workday, Titleist, and many more. Likewise, he is very loyal to the Titleist brand and used the clubs to win in the U.S. Open this year. However, he doesn’t have an equipment contract so he is able to choose what he likes. So, what clubs does Matthew Fitzpatrick use?
Driver
Driver
Matthew recently changed his driver from the Taylormade M2 driver to the Titleist TSi3 driver. The loft he plays with is at 9 degrees. By doing so, He is able to maintain a much more consistent and longer distance drive and nailing the ball down the fairway helped him snag the the first place finish in the 2022 US Open.
Fairway Drivers/Woods
Fairway Woods
Fitzpatrick uses a more unique and selected fairway drivers. He uses two woods from the G series line of Ping golf clubs. One of them is the G425 Max 3-wood and the other one is the G410 7-wood. He lofts his woods at an average loft, the 3-wood being around 15 degrees and the 7-wood being 19-20 degrees.
Irons
Irons
While Fitzpatrick uses Titleist for both his driver and his wedges he sticks with what he has trusted since he debuted his professional career in 2014. The irons he uses are the Ping S55’s, they offer a lot of forgiveness and allow Matthew to hit the ball with compact confidence. These P770 irons are similar to the Ping S55s,
Wedges
Wedges
The wedges he uses are the Titleist Vokey SM9. The degree wedges he uses are 52, 56, and 60. These wedges allow him to get underneath the ball and get a lot of spin on the greens. These are the blacked out edition of the Titleist Vokey SM9.
Putter
Putter
The putter his uses is quite unique to the PGA Tour and only a few professional use them. He used to putt with a Yes! Tracy II, however, this company recently went out of business and Bettinardi was able to craft a putter that he specifically requested. The name of the putter he is using now is the Bettinardi Dass BB1 Flow Tour Dept and he has a contract with Bettinardi. This is what I recommend for putting.
